New Life in Laramie Wyoming

It's been since April of this year since our family moved back to Wyoming. There have been 4 years pass since we lived here last and we all thought that we left this part of the world behind. But, we missed our friends here and the community more than we thought. And as fate would have it, opportunity knocked at the right time and here we are again.

It hasn't been an easy transition by any means. We sure loved our home in Utah and we found some lifelong friends. Neither has been easy to part with. Nevertheless, this move has always been about our family and improving our quality of life together, and so far it's looking good.

We plan to rebuild our home here with a few changes to the layout we wished we had made before. So far, plans are nearly complete and we are getting bids. If all goes well, we may start building this spring. For now, we are happy to be in a nice home for rent. The kids seem to have adjusted well to life here and have made friends quickly. Work is always work, but it is going well. I am fortunate to work with a good group of people committed to the success of our practice. That is nice for a change. We are getting a fourth doctor in December so the on-call burden will be reduced to 1 in 4, a welcome change. Kristin as always is keeping her eye on the ball making sure we are all cared for and prepared for anything that comes our way. She's good at that. All in all, we're are happy and together which is what is important.

For Thanksgiving, I drew the short straw at work and the on-call duty was mine. So a Thanksgiving celebration here in Laramie was planned. We were blessed to have the Mosers come to share the time with us and it was a good time. Work was kind to me and the weather was nice. We managed to keep ourselves pretty busy with activities including: making dinner, eating dinner, cleaning up dinner, eating left-over dinner, hunting coyotes, shopping, watching movies and playing at home. The kids had a blast and so did the parents. Our only regret was that it all ended to fast. And so, we are left to plan our next outing with the Mosers. I'm sure it will be a good one.
